I need a tutor! How does that work?

COM, COD and COP tutoring is coordinated through the SASS. Students in these colleges are able to get tutoring through the SASS. Please note the following information regarding eligibility for tutoring in each college:

  • COM and COD tutor lists can be found on the SASS Blackboard under Course Documents and then either the College of Medicine or College of Dentistry folder. Students can contact tutors directly to set up sessions.
  • COM and COD tutoring is free for all students leading up to the first exam of each semester. After the first exam, free tutoring is available for students who have made a D or an F.
  • COP group tutoring sessions are available for all students. Emails with session schedules will be sent out on a regular basis. For individual tutor sessions, tutoring is free for COP students leading up to the first exam. After the first exam, free tutoring is available for students who have made a D or an F. Students inquiring about individual tutoring sessions should email Nikki Dyer, ndyer1@uthsc.edu.

I am a tutor and need to turn in my time sheet. Who do I give it to?

Time sheets should be turned in to Tanya at the SASS front desk. If a staff person is not available, please take your time sheets and place them in the locked test box outside of Laurie Brooks' office door. All time sheets for any college can be placed in this box.
