Welcome to TERA User Support Services

Welcome to the user support site for the Tennessee Electronic Research Administration (TERA) implementation project. The TERA User Support Services site will provide news, information and training resources.

What is TERA?

TERA is a web-based information system that supports the following areas of research and sponsored program administration:

  • Proposal and award tracking and management (PAMS) - The replacement for the Route Sheet for Research Documents
  • Statutory and regulatory compliance related to research on vertebrate animals

The Tennessee Electronic Research Administration (TERA) was licensed by the UT System from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

TERA will replace the Coeus information system with a comprehensive electronic research administration system. TERA incorporates aspects of Coeus and other related systems and provides greater, more streamlined functionalities, including electronic routing of proposals and a new web-based portal allowing administrators and PIs to track all aspects proposal and award processing, as well as the ability to generate reports.
