In the neuroscience realm, including basic science and clinical research, the best resource for our campus is the Neuroscience Institute and the participating faculty listed on the Institute’s website: http://www.uthsc.edu/neuroscience/faculty/. The ongoing research projects of the faculty can be screened here and are regularly updated. You can harvest and compile the sort of dababase you are after from this site. Beyond that, I think detailed write ups by chairs and deans are likely to be of limited use as they will soon become outdated due to the rapidly evolving nature of research in a given lab.

Medical Students can indicate an interest and, if known, an area of interest. We have a variety of areas that can be worked on/with. We also have writing opportunities for good literature researchers with writing skills.

Additionally, there is a radiology research elective which is a 4 week elective in clinical radiology research. Students can sign up for this, however they are supposed to have their project approved by either Dr. Choudhri or Dr. Cohen prior to starting the elective.
