Contract Process and Terms

Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA)

Sponsor contacts PI or Research Contracts unit of ORA.

PI or Sponsor submits via PAMS the CDA to ORA. ORA negotiates contract language, routes finalized CDA to PI/Business Manager.

Business Manager approved in PAMS. ORA routes to University official and sponsor for signature. Uploads executed contract in PAMS and notifies PI and Business Manager.

Sponsor sends protocol to PI.

Clinical Trial Agreement

PI accepts clinical study. Sponsor or PI submits PAMS a draft agreement to ORA for language negotiation and budget review.

ORA negotiates language, reviews budget, and uploads finalized agreement in PAMS for routing. PI and department completes review and routes for approval in PAMS.

ORA receives agreement, routes to University official and sponsor for signature. Uploads executed contract in PAMS and notifies PI, department, and UT Sponsored Programs Accounting.
