Dr. G Umberto Meduri leads a VA funded multi-center study evaluating the role of corticosteroids in patients with pneumonia admitted to the ICU.

Dr. Scott E. Sinclair has a NIH-funded research laboratory at UTHSC and is investigating the mechanisms responsible for ventilator-induced lung injury (VILI) & stretch.

All our faculty is involved in clinical research in their special areas of interest a pooled bibliography in excess of 150 publications support our division’s research interests.
