The following steps pertain to the application process for enrollment.
- Complete the required online application form for this program.
- Arrange for official academic transcripts to be sent to Dr. Pam Connor at the Certificate in Clinical Research Program office address from previous colleges and universities that you have attended. If transcripts are international, applicants who supply foreign transcripts for the purpose of entry to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center are required to submit their transcripts to an independent, educational-equivalency evaluation company at their own expense and must ask the company to submit an evaluation report, including the equivalent cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale, to the Certificate Program.
- Examples of educational-equivalency evaluation companies include World Education Services and Educational Credit Evaluators. Foreign transcripts must be evaluated for equivalency of college-level education in the United States. Transcripts from any non-U.S. institution must be verified and certified to generate a grade-point average (GPA).
- The application form includes an area in which you should list the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of two people who can be contacted to recommend you for this program.
Meet the application deadline of June 1, 2013, to be considered for fall 2013 admission.
Following the application deadline, the program's Admissions Committee customarily meets to review application files and to select candidates for a limited number of openings in the program. The Committee's selections must be further reviewed and approved by the Dean of the College of Graduate Health Sciences before applicants can be notified of decisions.
Graduate courses in epidemiology, biostatistics, clinical research design, ethics, and other disciplines related to the effective, efficient conduct of clinical research are also offered by the Master of Science Program in Epidemiology at UTHSC.
