Research Resources & Facilities
The research activities of the College of Pharmacy are supported by an array of shared instrumentation and core services within the College as well as on Campus.
The College’s research laboratories are currently spread over six buildings on the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Campus:
- The Johnson Building
- The Wittenborg Anatomy Building
- The Crowe Research Building
- The Cancer Research Building
- The Feurt Pharmacy Research Building
- LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center
The construction of a new College of Pharmacy building is currently underway and is anticipated to be completed by Spring 2010. This six-story, 191,00-square-foot building (shoen on the right) will include lecture halls, classrooms and conference rooms equipped for distance learning, research laboratories, a computer laboratory, and office and student space, as well as four floors of research laboratories and support facilities. The new building will allow to centrally combine all lab-based research activities of the College and is expected to create synergies in competitiveness and productivity by further improving multidisciplinary, collaborative research efforts.
