Pharmaceutics Faculty Position

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy, is seeking an outstanding applicant for a twelve-month full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the full, associate, or assistant professor level that is state supported. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong research program in the area of: pharmaceutics, physical pharmacy, drug delivery, gene therapy, nanotechnology, nanomedicine, regenerative medicine, bio-imaging, biosensors, biomedical engineering, or other related discipline with focus on drug discovery and development. The successful candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, the ability to maintain a competitive extramural funding, a commitment to excellence in teaching Pharm.D. and graduate programs, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Medicinal Chemistry Faculty Position

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, is seeking applications for a twelve-month full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the full, associate, or assistant professor level that is state supported.

The successful candidate is expected to devote a major effort to research. The applicant should have core expertise in medicinal chemistry, or related discipline such as structural biology focused on drug discovery and development. Candidates with a well-funded program in cancer, diabetes, antibiotics, drug delivery, nano-medicine, nano-technology, bio-imaging, or lipid research are highly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, the ability to acquire sustained external, investigator-initiated funding, including National Institutes of Health principal investigator funding, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Associate Professor

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Division of Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics in the College of Pharmacy, invites applications for a twelve-month full-time, tenure-track, state-funded faculty position at the full, associate, or assistant professor level. The Division of Experimental Therapeutics is committed to improving human health through exceptional science within the domains of clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical outcomes, and experimental therapeutics. Our faculty is engaged in competitive, cutting edge research and the education and training of PharmD and graduate students, fellows, and post-doctoral trainees. Applications will be accepted from individuals engaged in pharmacy administration and/or health services/outcomes-based research. Preference will be given to those individuals with a focus on community-based pharmacy practice outcomes research. Other areas of interest that will be considered include, but are not limited to, pharmacotherapeutic outcomes, health disparities, health care policy, health system transformation, health services organization and delivery, health care finance/health economics, or comparative health systems. Candidates with established research programs are highly encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate is expected to have a PhD in Pharmacy Administration or equivalent degree (e.g., health outcomes/services, epidemiology, biostatistics and research methodology, health informatics, health economics, public health), or a PharmD with postgraduate training/education in a closely related area. The candidate should also have the ability to acquire sustained extramural funding, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Division of Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics Faculty Position

The Division of Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics, Department of Clinical Pharmacy in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, invites applications for a twelve-month full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the full, associate, or assistant professor level. The Division of Experimental Therapeutics is committed to the improvement of safety and efficacy of drug therapy in patients through basic, translational, and clinical research. Our faculty are engaged in competitive, cutting edge research and the education and training of Pharm.D. and graduate students, fellows, and post-doctoral trainees.

Applications will be accepted from scientists engaged in basic, translational, and clinical therapeutics-based research. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to, pharmacogenomics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacy outcomes, clinical trials, and molecular therapeutics.
