Catherine Alexander, M.D.

Dr. Alexander grew up in Troy, Ohio before moving to Bowling Green, Kentucky at age 17. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2007 with a BS in Sociology. She attended medical school at the University of Louisville. Katie enjoys shopping, running, playing with her Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) dog child Olivia, flip flops, socializing at Keeneland and the Kentucky Derby, watching reality TV, and cheering on her Kentucky Wildcats. Go Big Blue! Katie is excited to move to Memphis and start residency!

Jennifer Lee, M.D.

Dr. Lee is from Wild and Wonderful West Virginia. She went to West Virginia University where she received a BS in Exercise Physiology and subsequently her MD. In her spare time, Jenn loves throwing dinner parties, playing piano/guitar, volunteering, crocheting, watching movies, and hanging out with friends. Probably her favorite thing to do is running outside with her husband, Marc Lee, a med/peds intern. Jenn is excited to move to a city with lots of live music and great BBQ! One of her goals is to learn and master the art of Memphis style BBQ, so any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Jeffrey Aughney, M.D.

Dr. Aughney grew up in a small town in Idaho and attended college at Idaho State University. After undergraduate he went to medical school at Touro University in Nevada. Jeff has three important girls in his life – his beautiful wife Stacey, and two precious daughters, Olivia and Katelyn. Jeff enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, swimming, running, camping and boating.

Letisha Brazile, M.D.

Dr. Brazile considers herself a native of Huntsville, Alabama but lived in several places due to her father’s military career including Germany and Kansas. Letisha attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham where she received bachelor and medical degrees. She enjoys traveling, being silly, reading, dancing, singing, and socializing with friends and family. Letisha is very excited to embark upon this new adventure and see what Memphis has to offer!

Daniel Chatham, M.D.

Dr. Chatham was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky but was raised in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He was a Kentucky basketball fan from birth until John Colipari left Memphis to coach Kentucky, at which point he renounced his fandom. Daniel went to college at UT Chattanooga where he majored in Biochemistry and volunteered as a Young Life leader. In Memphis he attended Fellowship Church where he met Allie, who he married October 23, 2010. Daniel definitely out-punted his coverage with her. Daniel is passionate about discipling students at his church and will hopefully be able to participate in mission trips over the next few years. Allie and Daniel think Memphis is wonderful. Their golden retriever puppy, Bennie agrees with them.

Emilee Dobish, M.D.

Dr. Dobish is technically from the south, having been born in born in Virginia and raised in Frederick, Maryland. That’s south of the Mason-Dixon Line! She attended the University of Maryland (GO TERPS!), receiving a BS in Physiology and Neurobiology. She received her MD from Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, the sweetest place on earth! While she will miss the smell of chocolate everyday, Emilee is excited to come to Memphis! She loves her Terps and is a huge sports fan, especially when it comes to football. In her spare time, Emilee enjoys cooking, making jewelry, watching movies, and finding time to do nothing.

Michael Dole, M.D.

Dr. Dole was born in rural Nova Scotia, Canada before moving to the big city lights of Greenville, South Carolina. His wife, Nidhi, a Med-Peds resident, and he are high school sweethearts who, following high school, toured the state by becoming gamecocks for undergrad and then moving to Charleston to attend the Medical University of South Carolina. A competitive swimmer his entire life, Michael began competing in endurance running and triathlon events six years ago to satisfy his competitive nature. Michael also enjoys spending time with Nidhi traveling and taking their dogs, Monty and Nolah to local dog parks. While in Memphis they hope to utilize Shelby Farms and find some great wine stores!

Stacey Evans, M.D.

Dr. Evans was born and raised on Ames Plantation, an 18,000 acre University of Tennessee research facility located about 70 miles east of Memphis. She spent her childhood in a close-knit rural community surrounded by cows and corn, along with occasional deer and turkey. Stacey left the farm after 18 years to attend Mississippi State University – though to her surprise it wasn’t much of a change! She graduated with her B.S. in Psychology in 2007. Stacey finally made it to the big city when she moved to Memphis to attend medical school at the University of Tennessee. In her spare time, Stacey enjoys travel, photography, crafts, good food and wine, and spending time with family, friends and two cats, Piccadilly and Bonnie. She is thrilled to continue her education in Memphis at Le Bonheur!

Amanda Goiffon, M.D.

Dr. Goiffon grew up in Dallas, Texas but went to University at Case Western Reserve in Ohio to study biomedical engineering before returning to Texas for medical school at UT Houston. Favorite past times include a stint in AmeriCorps traveling Scooby-Doo style in an old van, grilling and gardening in her backyard and coaching a YMCA youth soccer team during medical school. Amanda enjoys playing the southern girl (dressing up, dinner parties, traditions, the manors, etc.) but doesn’t always fit the mold, which she is proud of. Amanda can’t live without friends who are more like family, wine, dark chocolate, great coffee, reading in bed on rainy days, shopping at local markets, and the chance for new adventures. She and her baby, Kit-Cat (the orange tabby who never got a real name) can’t wait to move into their new loft downtown and experience all Memphis has to offer.

Stephanie Hayden, M.D.

Dr. Hayden was born and raised in Covington, Kentucky just across the river from Cincinnati. She received her undergrad from Thomas More College before heading a little further south to the University of Kentucky for medical school. Stephanie met her wonderful husband Brent during their first anatomy class of med school! During her free time, Stephanie enjoys traveling, cooking, watching movies, reading books, shopping and playing with her two goofy cats! Stephanie is excited to move to Memphis and begin exploring her new home.

Andrew Irwin, M.D.

Dr. Irwin was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. After attending Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas where he received a BS in Biology, he began medical school at the University of Tennessee. Andy doesn’t remember when he met his wife Meredith – they grew up together, dated in high school, and got married young. To quote an astute employee at the Malco movie theater and after he tore his tickets, he looked at Andy and asked, “How did you get her?” Andy’s hobbies include following the Ole Miss Rebels, Memphis Grizzlies, as well as training and completing his 1st marathon this April. In addition to spending time with family, he also enjoy going to Destin and the Smokey Mountains – Andy is always planning the next trip to Disney World.

Jennifer Lan, M.D.

Dr. Lan was born and raised outside Washington, DC in Potomac, Maryland. She did not stray too far for college where she attended Georgetown University. After spending an amazing year abroad at the University of Oxford in the UK, Dr. Lan returned to DC to finish her senior year and directly matriculated to Georgetown University School of Medicine. It was during medical school that she met her husband, Jared, a resident in otolaryngology at UT. These two “yanks” are preparing to lead a new life in the South. Even though she will miss family back east, Jenn looks forward to experiencing a new city and culture. In her spare time, Jenn loves to cook, try out new restaurants and ethnic cuisines (total foodie here so definitely call her if you want to check out new restaurants), watch movies, bargain shop, travel/dream of travel abroad, practice yoga, and follow Georgetown basketball. GO HOYAS!

Anna Salinas, M.D.

Dr. Salinas is from Austin, Texas. She swapped Texas heat for Massachusetts cold when she attended Williams College for undergrad, majoring in Comparative Literature–Spanish. She then moved back to Texas to attend medical school at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio where she met her husband, Gabe, who will begin General Surgery Residency in Memphis as well. Together they enjoy biking, hiking, exploring new places – really just about any outdoor activity! Anna also enjoys trying out new vegetarian recipes, running, reading and yoga. She is very excited to begin residency at Le Bonheur!

Susan Thomas, M.D.

Dr. Thomas is from Nashville, Tennessee. She went to UT Knoxville where she studied psychology before coming to UTHSC for medical school. Susan is married to Ryan Thomas, a resident in Oral Surgery. She likes running and has a big sweet tooth! She enjoys playing ultimate frisbee. In college, she played on the university club team and in medical school, she played pick-up games on Friday afternoons with other medical students. Susan loves movies, TV and a good book.

Stephanie Turner, M.D.

Dr. Turner is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She received her BA in Biology and Spanish from Fisk University in Nashville, TN. She stayed in Nashville where she obtained her medical degree from Meharry Medical College. Stephanie was very honored and humbled to be nominated and later inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Stephanie’s interests include football, shopping, running, dancing, trying new restaurants, and enjoying the company of friends and family. She is very excited about living in Memphis and working at Le Bonheur!

James Warrington, M.D.

Dr. Warrington was raised in the Mississippi Delta in Cleveland and Clarksdale. He attended Delta State University, home of the Fighting Okra, but was brainwashed as a young child to be an Ole Miss fan. Trey then moved to Jackson, MS to attend the University of Mississippi Medical Center for medical school. While there, Trey married and had a beautiful daughter. He enjoys Atlanta Braves Baseball, New York Giants and New Orleans Saints Football.

Toni-Ann Wright, M.D.

Dr. Wright was born in the Bahamas and lived there until the age of four when she immigrated to the United States with her family. After living in Philadelphia and Richmond, her family eventually settled in Brentwood, Tennessee. Toni-Ann attended Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama where she majored in Biomedical Sciences. She then moved to Southern California for medical school at Loma Linda University. Toni-Ann is excited about returning to Tennessee for residency. In her free time she enjoys traveling to visit family in Jamaica, reading, scrapbooking and ballroom dancing.

Alexandria Young, M.D.

Dr. Young was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. She received her undergraduate degree from Howard University in DC. Alex is excited about studying in Memphis for residency! In her spare time, Alex LOVES to dance, and enjoys learning to cook new dishes, listening to music and walking her dog, Ronnie.
