Congratulations to Dr. Samir Shah and Dr. Peter Michael Mangubat on the acceptance of their abstract titled Pilot Results of the eASSIST Study: Prospective Application of an Electronically Integrated Pediatric Severe Sepsis Screening Algorithm for Adolescent Patients to the 2014 Pediatric Academic Societies and Asian Society for Pediatric Research Joint Meeting in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Congratulations to Dr. Thomas Spentzas and Dr. Rebekah Shappley on the publication of their manuscript Differential role of Rapamycin and Torin/KU63794 in inflammatory response of 264.7 RAW macrophages stimulated by CA-MRSA in the International Journal of Inflammation.

Congratulations to Dr. Rajat Pareek, our 3rd year fellow who recently became a certified Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support (PFCCS) instructor.

In addition, Dr. Pareek’s abstract, Invitro superiority of RSV Fusion Inhibitor MDT-637 vs. ribavirin predicts improved clinical benefit has been accepted to the 43rd Annual Critical Care Congress which will be held in San Francisco in January 2014.

On June 29th the Critical Care Division held their Annual Farewell & Welcome Dinner for our departing and arriving fellows. This year we also said farewell to Ms. Angela Green who has been our Fellowship Program Coordinator since 2010 and welcome to our new program coordinator, Mr. Parker Jones.
