PFCCS (Pediatric Fundamental Critical care Support)

The PFCCS is an annual 2-day course, CME accredited, and directed by Dr. Dai Kimura, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics

Target Audience:

This program is directed toward physicians, hospitalists, advanced practice nurses, transport teams, physician assistants, nurses, respiratory therapists, paramedics and other healthcare professionals involved in pediatric critical care and emergency medicine.

Purpose:

  • To prepare course attendees for the first 24 hours of pediatric critical care until transferred or appropriate critical care consultation is obtained.
  • To prepare non-intensivists to manage the acute deterioration of critically ill pediatric patients.
  • To prepare pediatric, emergency medicine, and surgical house staff for pediatric critical care medicine.
