Black Student Association (BSA) Awards Ball

The official kick-off event for "50 Years of African American Achievement" will feature Dr. Alvin Crawford, first African American graduate in the College of Medicine, as speaker. BSA’s Ball is annual event and this year it will be held at the Memphis Marriott Downtown on February 26, 2011 at 6:00 p.m (Cash Bar) and 7:00 p.m. (Awards Ball). Wine Down Reception

On September 16, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Soulsville/Stax Museum, alumni and student attendees will be treated to a complimentary wine reception with tasty hors d'oeuvres, museum tour and live music. The overall objective of this event will be to recognize African American Achievements at UTHSC, but also encourage networking between alumni and students, in addition to encouraging participants to become more involved (i.e., volunteering; fundraising; networking) with UTHSC Alumni Affairs and the UT Alumni Association. The reception cost is $20 per ticket for UTHSC faculty, staff and alumni, and $15 for UTHSC students. For additional information call 448-2112 or hsc-oed@uthsc.edu.
