The eight week rotation consists of two four-week blocks:

Gynecology

1. Three different venues
   1. The Med
   2. Methodist/Oncology
   3. Baptist East/Methodist Germantown
2. Surgery
3. Rounds
4. Clinics
   1. Routine gynecology
   2. Resident clinics
   3. Faculty clinics
5. Call every fourth night, until nine p.m.
6. Lecture series/problem-based cases

Obstetrics

1. Labor & Delivery
2. Clinic
   1. High risk obstetrics
   2. Ultrasound rotation
   3. Routine obstetrics & family planning
3. Problem-based lectures on common Ob-Gyn problems
4. Lectures
5. Call every fourth night, all night

In addition, Gynecological Teaching Associates (GTAs) are used to teach pelvic and breast examinations during the first week of the rotation.
