Alise Farrell joined the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in January 2006, as a Clinical Instructor in the BSN program. She has over 24 years of experience as a nurse, predominantly in pediatrics at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center. She also has experience in clinical nursing administration, critical care, and staff development. She has been a nurse educator for 7 years, serving on the faculty of Methodist School of Nursing where she taught pediatric and adult health nursing courses. She also served as a clinical development specialist for Methodist-LeBonheur Healthcare. Her teaching responsibilities at UTHSC include didactic and clinical for Introduction to Professional Practice, Adult Health, and Pediatric and Adolescent Health. She also assists in the skills lab and simulation for Acute and Adult Skills.
A native of Memphis, Alise received her BSN from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and her MSN from Union University, Germantown campus, with a concentration in nursing education. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and ANA/TNA. She is vice president of the Mid South Chapter of Society of Pediatric Nursing.
