Served in graduate nurse educator and preceptor roles at George Mason University and Catholic University for 5 years, prior to coming to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a research pediatric nurse practitioner.
Areas of Teaching: Maternal-Child Health; Developmental Mental Behavioral Pediatrics; Transitioning of Youth to Adult Care Settings; Pediatric and Adolescent Primary and Specialty Care for those affected or Infected with HIV/AIDS; Medical/Health Home Practice for Children with Special Needs.
Areas of Practice: Pediatric and Adolescent Primary and HIV Specialty Care
Teaching responsibilities include lecturing, online seminars, and preparation for content in areas of Public Health Nursing including facilitating Public Health Nursing Practicum experiences.
Current professional involvement includes NAPNAP Fellow, NAPNAP Position Paper Reviewer, NAPNAP Developmental Mental Behavioral Health SIG, NAPNAP Child Maltreatment SIG, NAPNAP eChapter Treasurer; Sigma Theta Tau, ANAC, IAFN, andAPHA member.

Since that time, I continue to implement many of their practices into both clinical and research practice to change the course of infant mortality and adverse childhood experiences in Memphis, TN.”
