Continuing Education

The College of Nursing endorses the concept of life long learning for nurses and other health care professionals. We support that concept through the initiation, development and presentation of continuing education opportunities for nursing professionals.

In keeping with the high standards of The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing, our Continuing Education (CE) programs are of the highest quality.

The CoN Continuing Education Unit is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an approved provider through 2013. Using their standards as a guide, CE staff and faculty plan professional development seminars and continuing education conferences for a variety of nursing and other health care professionals in our local and distant communities. Through our CE programs, health care professionals have access to continuing education experiences via a variety of distributive modalities, including the Internet, CD-ROM, interactive television, videotapes, telecommunication, and traditional face-to-face programs.

The CE program continues the legacy of the College of Nursing by providing educational opportunities with the highest integrity possible.
