UT NAMES 2005 OUTSTANDING TEACHERS AND PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD RECIPIENTS
AT
Memphis, Tennessee, (May 9, 2005) – The University of Tennessee National Alumni Association has named three UT Health Science Center faculty as its 2005 Outstanding Teacher and Public Service Award recipients.
L. Brian Cross, PharmD, assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Family Medicine, and Laura Read Sprabery, MD, assistant professor of internal medicine, were selected for the Outstanding Teacher Award by students in their respective Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine.
Ann Nolen, PsyD, OTR, associate professor and chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy, was selected for the Public Service Award by a UTHSC campus-wide faculty committee for her significant contributions to public service that go beyond the usual scope of her position.

A native Tennessean, Dr. Nolen received her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Florida and holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Forest Institute, Hawaii.
