Speak at Commencement

Gary Shorb, president
and CEO of Methodist Healthcare since October 2001, will offer the commencement
address to the graduates and their families.
Shorb joined Methodist in 1990 as executive
vice president. Previously, he served as

His extensive community service includes
serving on the boards of Memphis Tomorrow, the National Civil Rights Museum,
the Memphis Regional Chamber of Commerce (2005 Board Chairman), the Memphis Bioworks Foundation and the University of Memphis Board of
Visitors. He has earned numerous awards during
his career including a 2007 Meritorious Service Award by the Tennessee Hospital
Association, a 2005 Alexis de Tocqueville leadership award from

primary teaching site for health care students and residents at UT Health
Science Center.
