Renate H. RosenthalMain teaching and other responsibilities and interests in Medical Education

I am the course director for Psychopathology (M-2 year), I am involved in the M-1/M-2 Principles of Clinical Medicine (PCM) Course, I direct the Psychiatry Core Clerkship, and I serve as advisor to the student literary journal “Janus.” My main clinical interest is the effect of stress and trauma on physical and emotional health, loosely summarized as “psychosomatic disorders.” On a more personal level, my hope is that I will help students develop into caring, well-rounded professionals.

I love the outdoors, travel, art and music. I have two Great Pyrenees, and I volunteer for an organization dedicated to the rescue of giant guardian dogs.
