Information Security Training

The 2016 Information Security Training is now available electronically and face-to-face and is required for ALL UTHSC faculty, staff, and students to complete! This training was created to provide UTHSC community members with a solid understanding of the university's information security policies, procedures, and best practices as well as applicable government regulations and laws. It is our mission to increase your knowledge and awareness of potential security pitfalls, which in turn will reduce the risk to the university's computing and data resources and help prevent costly, reputation-damaging data breaches. Please note this training meets all the requirements for information security training and covers HIPAA security training, but NOT HIPAA privacy training.

HIPAA Privacy training will be made available to faculty, staff, students, and residents in the 1st quarter of 2017.  If you have questions, please contact the Institutional Compliance Office via email.

Why is this training required?
