UTHSC Health Care Challenge 2014
The Health Care Challenge is an interprofessional education (IPE) elective and a wonderful opportunity to meet students and faculty from colleges across the campus wanting to function effectively on a healthcare team.
Content stresses team-building, program development and presentation skills. The course includes a team-based competition. Student teams propose programs or activities to address the healthcare needs of a select target population in the greater Memphis community.
The ability to work in teams and the resulting good communication skills lead to improved patient safety and quality of care. UTHSC campus offers IPE courses to enhance the focused educational programs offered in our colleges.
UTHSC students in good academic standing enrolled during the spring term are eligible. Teams are supported by faculty advisors from across the campus.
The Health Care Challenge begins registration on November 1st.
Registration is limited and on a first come-first served basis.
