Description: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Pharmacy, in affiliation with Baptist Medical Group and Baptist Oncology Center, is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member at the level of assistant or associate professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science. This position will be available on or before July 1, 2019.

Successful candidates will hold a PharmD degree and have completed a PGY2 Oncology Specialty Pharmacy Residency or have at least 5 years of experience in education and oncology practice. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Tennessee.

Applicants should demonstrate excellence as an engaging and effective communicator (written and oral), teacher, mentor, and Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist preferred (BCOP). Experience in classroom and small group learning settings with lecturing, active learning, and facilitating recitations and co-curricular activities are required. Core oncology outpatient clinic service responsibilities include improving adherence, medication reconciling, resolving medication related problems including errors and duplication, improving compliance with treatment plans, educating patients and family members, minimizing cost, providing Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, etc. Demonstrated ability or potential to produce scholarly activity in an academic setting in the form of peer-reviewed publications is essential. Candidates who have PharmD, a record of peer-reviewed publications, and evidence of funded grants are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching: didactic lecturing 40%
Scholarship: Peer reviewed publications, seeking and applying for external funding, 10-15%
Service: maintain local, statewide, and national recognition 10-15%
Patient Care: provide oncology pharmacy services, coordinate PGY2 residency training 30-40%
