Description: The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is recruiting for a full-time board certified/board eligible Radiation Oncology Physician at the Assistant Professor level (non-tenure track). The candidate must be highly motivated in pursuing an academic career in Radiation Oncology. Responsibilities will include patient care, teaching and clinical research.
The Department is affiliated with UCH, where the candidate will have an independent clinical appointment.

Radiation Oncology Services for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare include a facility in Midtown at Methodist University Hospital. The midtown location has 2 linacs (both Elekta Infinity machines), an HDR suite (Nucletron), and 2 CT scanners (Philips large bore simulator and a second GE lightspeed). We use Philips Pinnacle Treatment Planning System with Mosaiq treatment software. We provide external radiation treatment (including SBRT, IMRT, IGRT and VMAT). We also provide HDR Partial Breast Brachytherapy, HDR Vaginal Cylinder Brachytherapy, HDR Tandem and Ovoid Brachytherapy, Prostate Brachytherapy, and Eye plaques. For brachytherapy planning we use Oncentra Brachytherapy Planning Systems.
