Description: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), College of Medicine, Regional One Medical Center and the Elvis Presley Trauma Center are seeking a Chief of the Division of Trauma/Surgical Critical Care in the UTHSC Department of Surgery.

The successful applicant will lead a team of 10 surgeons with clinical activities centered at the Elvis Presley Trauma Center, the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the Mid-South and one of the busiest in the country.

The ideal candidate will be at the Associate Professor/Professor level, have an MD degree and be board certified in Surgery/Critical Care. He/she will have outstanding clinical skills and a demonstrated history of achievements in academics including research and the education of medical students, residents and/or fellows. Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for developing, initiating, and achieving programmatic goals are a must. Academic rank, tenure and additional leadership opportunities are commensurate with experience and qualifications.
