Description: The Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology (http://www.uthsc.edu/anatomy-neurobiology) at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center invites applications to fill an open rank educator position in the anatomical sciences. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) with a comprehensive benefits package. This 3-5 year position is renewable subject to satisfactory performance.

Primary responsibilities will include teaching clinical microscopic anatomy and virtual microscopy laboratory courses to medical, dental and other health professions students. Teaching experience in clinically oriented anatomical sciences including histology and the use of software for virtual microscopy instruction is preferred but not required. Responsibilities will also include teaching in one or more other anatomical science areas (embryology, gross anatomy, cadaveric laboratory dissection, and neuroanatomy). Experience in or willing to expand into those anatomical science areas listed above is required. This position includes opportunities to conduct scholarly activities related to educational programs.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D. or equivalent degree with a background in human anatomy or related field of study and be eligible for a faculty appointment of an Assistant Professor. The candidate should be an enthusiastic educator with a demonstrated ability to work productively, collegially, and effectively within a faculty team environment.
