Description: The College of Nursing, at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, invites applicants for the full-time, non-tenure track position as faculty in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
Responsibilities:
Teaching responsibilities include both didactic course work and clinical supervision of students. The UTHSC embraces four missions: education, research, clinical care and institutional service. Responsibilities for this position include both educational responsibilities, as well as clinical practice assignments in the hospital and skills lab. Research/scholarship activities and service responsibilities will be determined in collaboration with Department Chair.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have experience in medical-surgical nursing and maternal nursing. Additionally, experience teaching in a professional nursing program is desired. Minimal requirements for the position include a RN license and a Master of Science in Nursing. All degrees must be from an accredited program. Academic rank is at instructor or assistant professor level based upon academic credentials.
