Description: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine seeks a diverse pool of nominees and applicants for the position of Professor and Chair in the Department of Preventive Medicine on the main campus of the Health Science Center in Memphis, TN.

The Department of Preventive Medicine seeks a funded researcher with nationally recognized expertise in areas that may include preventive medicine, biostatistics, epidemiology, clinical trials, behavioral medicine, psychology, health services research, health promotion, public health, exercise physiology, informatics or nutrition. This individual should have a history of research collaboration and achievement, a commitment to education, a track record of mentoring junior faculty, national involvement in professional organizations in an area of expertise, and a proven ability to administer and manage. Applicants should hold the Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, or equivalent. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Tenure is subject to negotiation. Applicants should have a demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to diversity and equal opportunity.
