Description: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery is accepting applications for a Bariatric Surgeon. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position at the faculty rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates must have completed an accredited general residency program as well as an approved Bariatric Surgery fellowship, be Board Eligible/Board Certified and committed to providing quality clinical care, student/resident teaching, and research. The successful candidate will have experience working with all types of surgical weight loss procedures including but not limited to laparoscopic weight loss surgery, gastric bypass, gastric band (lap band), and vertical sleeve gastrectomy. The candidate will contribute to the growth of both the multidisciplinary bariatric program and the Department of Surgery.
