Description: The College of Dentistry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) invites applications for a part-time faculty position in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Health. This position is a clinical track appointment at the Assistant Professor rank, and will predominately involve staffing the pre-doctoral clinic and laboratory course.

Responsibilities may include didactic and clinical instruction in the pre-and post-doctoral programs, teaching in the pre-doctoral laboratory course, delivery of pediatric dental care and/or supervision of residents in the operating room, delivery of direct patient care in an outpatient clinical setting, administrative responsibility over student, residents and auxiliary staff, and supervision of residents and students in community outreach events and Headstart activities.

Minimum requirements: DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited dental school, current licensure in Tennessee including conscious sedation permit, 5 years private practice experience including management of clinical and business activities or equivalent military service. Consideration will be given for previous faculty membership in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at an accredited College of Dentistry and appreciation of evidence based dental practice and demonstrated teaching gifts.
