Description: The University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga,Tennessee, is seeking applicants for the position of Chair of the Department of Urology with faculty rank to be commensurate with experience. The residency was established in 2015 with the first residents beginning in 2016. The inaugural chair will have the opportunity to shape and develop the department into a world-class academic experience for post-graduate medical training.

Qualified individuals must hold the M.D. degree or its equivalent and board certification by the American Board of Urology must have documented and proven experience as a faculty member with experience in academics and currently hold the rank of Assistant Professor or above. Previous administrative experience is required. The goal of our residency is to educate and train excellent practitioners so that they are prepared to enter community practice or subspecialty training.

The UT College of Medicine is affiliated with Erlanger Health System, one of the busiest Level One Trauma Centers in the U.S. Approximately 180 residents are appointed currently in nine disciplines. Visit our website at
