Description: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Department of Pathology and the Pathology Department at Methodist University Hospital and its professional pathology group, Memphis Pathology Group, is inviting applications for a clinically focused, academically oriented subspecialized anatomic pathologist. The successful candidate will also hold rank of Assistant/Associate Professor (dependent upon experience and credentials). This is a full-time, non-tenure track position. Fellowship training in surgical pathology and/or in a subspecialty is preferred. Preference will be given to those with training or demonstrated interest in head and neck pathology, and endocrine pathology. They will spend majority time at the 1,000+ bed Methodist Le Bonheur Health System including its flagship University Hospital located in the heart of the Memphis Medical District. The department provides services to the West Cancer Center, a comprehensive program providing advanced oncology care, research, and education to the region; its breast cancer program is the largest in the region providing a highly specialized multidisciplinary and contemporary precision medicine approach.

UTHSC Pathology is rapidly growing and consists of divisions of Anatomic, Clinical, Translational and Experimental Pathology. The Pathology Department, with its more than 80 primary and affiliated faculty serves multiple hospitals in the Medical District. There is an active residency program in which the residents have an opportunity to partake in a clinical service handling almost 200,000 cases. Select fellowship programs are also offered.
