Description: The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, is seeking an outstanding applicant for a twelve-month full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the assistant, associate or full professor level (rank commensurate with experience and credentials). The successful candidate is expected to have a strong NIH-funded research program in an area related to the research strengths of the department, included but not limited to pharmacology, drug discovery and development, drug delivery, physiology, electrophysiology, ion channel research, renal (both kidney and lower urinary tract), physical pharmacy, gene therapy, epigenomics, metabolomics, nanotechnology, nanomedicine, regenerative medicine, bio-imaging, biosensors, or other related disciplines. The successful candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, the ability to maintain competitive extramural funding, a commitment to excellence in teaching in Pharm.D. and graduate programs, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
