Description: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Department of Occupational Therapy, invites applicants to apply for a full-time, tenure track faculty position to complement the department?s expanding research strengths in the areas of adult physical dysfunction, neuro-rehabilitation, comparative effectiveness, health disparities, and clinical trials. Faculty rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include participation in teaching, scholarship, clinical practice, and service.

The Department of Occupational Therapy started in 1989 and presently offers a Master?s degree in Occupational Therapy. The department has a student-run pro bono occupational therapy clinic. The occupational therapy faculty members have a wide range of teaching and practice expertise, publications, and leadership roles in the profession and in the community.

All applicants must be certified by NBCOT, licensed or eligible for licensure in occupational therapy in the state of Tennessee, and have teaching experience and at least 5 years of clinical experience in neuroscience-rehabilitation and orthopedics. Certification in physical agent modalities is preferred. The candidate must hold a terminal degree (Ph. D., Ed.D, OTD, PsyD, Sc.D., or other related terminal degree) in appropriate area of specialization. A record of funded grants is preferred.
