Description: The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Department of Family Medicine, is seeking full-time Addiction Specialist faculty member for the UT Center for Addiction Science in Memphis, TN. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience; non-tenure track appointment.

The Center for Addiction Science is a recognized national center-of-excellence, promoting education, research, and community outreach, in addition to comprehensive clinical services. Associate and Adjunct Professorships are available for the right candidates, with great leadership and growth opportunities (primary board certification required).

Clinical responsibilities will include providing comprehensive care to addiction medicine patients by formulating treatment plans in a variety of settings: inpatient acute, residential, and , performing history and physical exams for patients, reviewing treatment plans and discussing cases with treatment teams, assessing co-existing medical and psychiatric disorders, providing comprehensive care to patients by formulating and prescribing treatment and medications, and overseeing prescribing administration/management of medications for the treatment of addiction.

Academic responsibilities will include teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, and students, curriculum development, and clinical research opportunities.
