Finding the Hardware Address of an HP Color LaserJet 3700 Series
You will need the Hardware Address of your printer in order to flag it with
Computing Services so that the IP Address doesn't expire. Follow the
directions below to get your Address and then you can email the Hardware
Address, your Full Name, your Building and Room Number, and your Phone number to
helpdesk@uthsc.edu.
1. Press the menu (#4) button on the control panel of the printer. The display (#12) should now read "INFORMATION"
2. Press the check button (#9) on the control panel. The display should now read "PRINT MENU MAP"
3. Press the down button (#8) on the control panel until the display reads "PRINT CONFIGURATION"
4. Press the check button to print the configuration page. The Hardware Address should be listed.
