Researcher Rajashekhar Gangaraju, PhD, Joins HEI Faculty

Rajashekhar "Shekhar" Gangaraju, PhD

Rajashekhar "Shekhar" Gangaraju, PhD, assistant professor of Ophthalmology, is the most recent addition to the Hamilton Eye Institute’s academic faculty in the HEI Center for Vision Research.

Dr. Gangaraju comes to us from Indiana University’s School of Medicine, where he was an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology, Department of Cellular & Integrative Physiology, and the Indiana Center for Vascular Biology and Medicine.

His research interests include endothelial activation and inflammation in diabetic retinopathy, and the use of stem cells for cellular regenerative therapies. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Gangaraju and look forward to working with him.
