American Dental Association (ADA)

The ADA is the leading dental organization in the nation. Their website serves as a one-stop shot for research updates, governance issues, community outreach programs, as well as private and academic dental resources.

American Dental Education Association (ADEA)

The ADEA is the voice of dental education in the US and Canada. This association urges educational institutions to address contemporary issues facing education, practice, research, and community oral health. The ADEA also provides scholarships to students.

International Association for Dental Research

The International Association for Dental Research is a non-profit organization that aims to improve oral health through the advancement, sharing, and application of dental research.

National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR)

The NIDCR is a National Institute of Health that is dedicated to the improvement of oral health. The NIDCR traditionally funds clinical trials, research studies, and career development opportunities.

The National Research Council (NRC)

The NRC is a non-profit organization that is committed to policy change and informed scientific research. The NRC is part of the National Academies, which also includes the Institute of Medicine (IOM).

PubMed

PubMed is a database for health-related publications. The PubMed database includes both PubMed Central publications (i.e., free articles where NIH funded the research – see the NIH Public Policy) AND association journal publications.

Research.gov

NSF and Federal Research Funding Agencies’ customer service website. This website contains a research policy library, research spending and results, updates on application status, and federal financial reports.
