Audience and panelists at a CME eventContinuing Medical Education (CME) is part of the strategic plan at the University of Tennessee and is an integral part of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine (UTCOM). The University of Tennessee is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians, and it has achieved Accreditation with Commendation, the highest level of CME accreditation.

The administrative center for the Office of CME at the UTCOM is located at the Chattanooga campus, and there are UTCOM CME offices and administrative staff at the Memphis and Knoxville campuses as well.

How Can CME Help Your Program & Organization?

Certifying an educational activity for CME credit is a great way to enhance the value of your educational activity because it ensures that the activity addresses the individual learning needs of your target audience. Certifying an activity for CME credit is also a great way to earn the attendance of physicians because physicians are required to earn a certain number of CME credit hours each year in order to maintain licensure and competence.
