Community/Continuing Education Programs
The Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities (BCDD) is a department within the University of Tennessee’s College of Medicine. As such, the BCDD is an integral and collaborative partner with other colleges within the UT Health Science Center.
In addition to our projects and programs that utilize UT resources and personnel, the community outreach aspect of the Boling Center offers a number of educational opportunities both to the general public and for professionals working outside the UT Health Science Center infrastructure.
Community training is conceptualized as training that serves to benefit the community by enhancing the knowledge of community members and/or maintaining the professional credentials of these that directly serve the community. Community education is accomplished by educational activities offered to a variety of audiences where professional certificates, certificates of completion, and/or continuing education credits/units or the equivalent are awarded.
