Malinda Fitzgerald (PhD, '86), the only NIH-funded researcher at Christian Brothers University, divvies up her time between her research, teaching and mentoring of students in the university's research programs. She believes that she was well prepared to do all three in her doctoral program at UTHSC. Read more »

The Dermatology Department has been named the Kaplan-Amonette Department of Dermatology, in honor of Robert Kaplan, MD ('73), and Rex Amonette, MD ('71).

» AMERICAN BOARD OF SURGERY WELCOMES DR. JOSEPH COFER ('78) AS CHAIR

Dr. Cofer was elected to the ABS in 2007 as a representative of the Southeastern Surgical Congress. He is professor of surgery and surgery residency program director at the UT College of Medicine in Chattanooga.

Melody Norris Waller, MSN, RN, was chosen one of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and Johnson & Johnson Campaign for Nursing's Future Fall 2013 Minority Nurse Faculty Scholars.

Heather McCarthy has been selected as one of 30 recipients of the 2013 NAMS/Pfizer Medical Resident, Fellow, and DNP Awards. This is the first year that DNP students have been considered eligible for this prestigious award.
