English Pronunciation Class

The English pronunciation classes at HSC are designed for UT international students who need to improve their pronunciation in order to meet requirements for international teaching assistants. Often students who score 40 or below on the SPEAK test will find the small pronunciation classes (3-5 students per class) most helpful.
Classes are scheduled three days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 to 1:00, or from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Hearing and Speech Center (directions).
To register: Department Personnel should contact Betty Reid in the Chancellor's office with:
- The student's name
- Intention to fund 50% of the tuition ($250)
Department personnel or advisors should inform students to register for the classes at the Hearing and Speech Center.
