4th year Dental Student

I was born and raised in Memphis, TN. I then spread my wings a bit to attend Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS, where I studied Microbiology. I loved the small country town atmosphere of the campus. However, my true home will always be Memphis, and I was blessed to be accepted to Dental School at UTHSC. I hope to attend the Pediatric Graduate Program at UT once I complete my D.D.S. I have a passion for working with children and would love to be a role model for the future leaders of this great city. I also enjoy volunteering at various at various events throughout the city. I intend to continue my passion for volunteering once I have received my D.D.S. and plan to give back to the community, which has helped make me the person I am today.

Jackson, TN is my hometown. I majored in chemistry at Lambuth University. My plan is to go into medical missions. Right now I'm most interested in OB/GYN and Family Medicine. I have a big family and many great friends. I enjoy going to church at Fellowship Memphis. Also, I love basketball - playing and watching. My other hobbies include biking, reading, and cooking.

I am originally from Memphis and went to Rhodes College for undergrad where I majored in Biology. I ran Track/cross country and I still love to run! At UT, I've been involved with CMDA, and when I graduate, my desire is to go into a family medicine residency and do missions. I'm passionate about telemedicine and other technology, and I'm currently working on developing new softwares to improve the access and quality of healthcare.

3rd year Graduate Student

I'm from what my southern friends call "the tundra" near Grand Rapids, Michigan. I graduated from Ferris State University in 2011 with a B.S. in Biotechnology. I'm now in my third year of graduate school in the Cancer & Developmental Biology track of the IBS program. In my free time I enjoy working out (swimming, running, dancing) but I also love making cakes and going to the movies. Being in graduate school is hard but WIMS is a great way to meet new people, gain insight about what other students do, and make new friends!! Just because you do research doesn't mean you have to be confined to the lab.

3rd year Medical Student

I grew up in Oak Ridge, TN and attended college at The University of South Carolina. I graduated with a BS in Exercise Science. While I am still undecided about what type of medicine I want to practice, I'm very interested in medical missions. WIMS has been a great resource to meet both classmates and physicians with similar interests. Outside of school, my favorite places to run in Memphis are Shelby Farms and Overton Park.
