Beth Choby, MD, FAAFP
Director
Beth Choby, MD FAAFP is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine. She completed a Family Medicine Residency and Advanced Women’s Health/Obstetrics fellowship at the University of Tennessee-Memphis. She also completed a Faculty Development Fellowship at the Waco Faculty Development Center in Texas. She has taught at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) AHEC Ft. Smith and Methodist Hospital System, Houston TX. She also served as the Clerkship director in Family Medicine at UTCOM-Chattanooga.
Training Manager
The training manager's responsibility is to recruit, cast, and instruct Standardized Patients (SPs) on how to portray various patient roles. The training manager also assists Dr. Choby with the execution and evaluation of course objectives.
Michael Holliday
Course Assistant
Michael works with the Clinical Skills Program and also assists with the development of monthly course syllabi for the Doctoring: Recognizing Signs and Symptoms and the Prevention, Community, and Culture courses.
Jocelyn Blake
Administrative Secretary
Jocelyn Blake is a recent graduate of The University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She obtained a Bachelor’s in Communication with a focus on Magazines. She is the Administrative Secretary for The Center so her main duty is to assist the students and Standardized Patients. Jocelyn is also responsible for booking the encounters and other events that take place in the Kaplan Clinical Skills Center.
