Award's Namesake
Thomas "Tommy" Connell Lichterman
Tommy, (October 14, 1944 - April 3, 1986), was a messenger at UTMG and UT Health Science Center for eleven years. In addition to the love he gave his parents, two sisters, four brothers and his dog, Brownie, he brought love and sunshine to the lives of everyone he met and knew at UT. Known as the "Federal Express" of UT Health Science Center, Tommy refused to be limited by health problems, reaching beyond his job description in achieving excellence and was always proud of his service to UT and UTMG. His memory serves as an inspiration to all who knew him.
Eligibility
- Employees must have a non-exempt title classification.
- Employees must be a full-time UT Health Science Center employee (including employees at St. Francis and Jackson) or a full-time UTMG employee.
- Employees must have been employed a minimum of three years prior to nomination.
