Health Career Programs (HCP) defines diversity as an appreciation for the rich multiplicity of the human experience and we are committed to making sure these varied experiences are represented on the campus of UTHSC, the health care field, and beyond.

HCP Mission

It is our mission to prepare the next generation of individuals to become culturally competent and relevant healthcare professionals and educators who are academically disciplined, grounded in pertinent research and training, empathically attuned to the needs of the communities in which they will enter, cognizant of health care disparities which exists within medically underserved populations, and socially equipped to address these issues professionally, medically, and altruistically.
