Where is Lost and Found in the GEB?
Come by the Security Desk, M-F, 8 am to 4 pm. You may also call Campus Police at 448-4444 if your ID is lost.
How do I get the temperature of my room changed or report rest room malfunctions?
Come to room CB17, M-F, 8 am to 5 pm or call 448-6960. After hours try calling Campus Police, 448-4444.
How do I schedule space for study?
Come to room CB17, M-F, 8 am to 5 pm. No phone reservations will be accepted. You may book the day you come and the next day. On Thursdays you may book the weekend. We have 9 rooms available on the 2nd floor A-wing. If those are already taken you may go to the Student Academic Support Services (SASS) in the basement. For Holidays and Holiday weekends the 2nd floor A-wing rooms are open access (no reservations).
If I need to book Distance Education (video plus audio teleconferencing) whom do I contact?
Call 448-5062. Please have all technical information, dates, and times ready at least one month before the event.
What do I do if I lock my keys in my locker?
Come to room CB17, M-F, 8 am to 5 pm. You may borrow a spare key by leaving an ID as collateral. After hours try calling Campus Police, 448-4444.
If I need to book room B107 or C109 (the computer teaching and testing labs) or if I am locked out of room B107 or C109 for my scheduled test time, whom do I contact?
Call 448-5015. If no one responds call the GEB Scheduling Office at 448-6960, or contact your Academic Dean.
How do I get a copy made in the GEB?
There is a coin-operated copier in the vending area, 2nd floor A-wing or go to Reprographics in the basement of the Plaza Building, phone 448-4377.
Where is General Stores?
It is in the basement of the GEB, room BB41, phone 448-6152.
Where is Student Academic Support Services (SASS)?
It is in the basement of the GEB, room BB9, phone 448-5056.
How do I send a FAX in the GEB?
This service is not available. Please try your College.
How do I book space for my course or event?
Call Scheduling, 448-6960, or email firstname.lastname@example.org, or FAX the request to 448-7838. Requests for the Summer/Fall Semester should be submitted in mid-May while requests for the Winter/Spring term are due in mid-October.
How do I get my laptop set up for wireless internet access in the GEB?
Call the Computing Help Desk at 448-2222.
How do I get a table reserved for the GEB Lobby or outside a lecture room?
We have eight tables available. Come to room CB17 or call 448-6960. If you need more tables you may reserve them from the Student Alumni Center (SAC), phone 448-5614.
Where can I post notices and announcements in the GEB?
Bulletin boards are available in both the A-wing and B-wing. Please limit postings to those places. Any announcement taped to a painted surface will be removed and discarded. You may not post notices to any exterior door.
Can I view the classroom schedule on the web?
Yes, navigate to http://utsched.uthsc.edu/VirtualEMS/ in your browser. You can then choose to Browse for Events (a list view) or Browse for Space (a graphical view). You can also filter the search by date or building or Event name to narrow down the search.
How do I reserve poster panel boards for poster presentations?
Call the Scheduling Office at 448-6960 or email email@example.com or come by room CB17, GEB. We have 10 poster panel boards available. There are two 4' by 8' surfaces per panel (front and back). Velcro or push pins may be used on these surfaces.
